An
Invitation to Become a Part of the Solution... |
Since 1988, your Greater Seventh Avenue Improvement
Association has been busy with programs and projects
to promote business and economic development of
the Seventh Avenue area from 81-157 Streets. It’s
a big job! We need your support. Consider the following:
1. We are
100 members strong and growing. Businesses big
and small, like yours, who have an important stake
here, have made a membership commitment, and support
the associations’ effort to improve our business
area.
2. We have a dedicated Board
of Directors, representatives of our business
community, which meet regularly to plan, and keep
up-to-date on events and changes that affect our
area.
3. The association publishes a newsletter. It is
informative, up to date, and vital for every business
person here.
4. We keep track of new developments in the Seventh
Avenue corridor, including those which happen in
North Miami and in the unincorporated areas. We
take action when necessary.
5. The association has been involved in the economic
development planning of our business area. We encourage
expansion of existing businesses, and new business
development.
6. The association has encouraged property maintenance
standards through advisement of owners and code
enforcement.
7. The association supports local laws which support
area business. It was our group which brought about
a more favorable sign ordinance for businesses in
North Miami which face I-95.
8. We actively participate in the annual North Miami
Clean City Week program.
9. To assure progress, the association retains an
experienced staff member in association management
and economic and business development for downtown
revitalization, to handle our day-to-day business,
and advise our board and membership.
We are the voice of the Seventh Avenue community.
We make things happen!
