What Happened in 2008?

Burger King @ 129th Street completed a large expansion.
 
Murry's Speed and Custom completes large expansion @ 157th Street.
 
New block of stores @ 107th Street.
 
2 story state of the art Immigration building completed @ 84th Street.
 
Capt. Harry's begins new 4 story building @ 28501 NW 7th Ave. Joins G7AIA
 
Thomas Dental & Associates @ 14050 NW 7th Ave. joins G7AIA.
 
G7AIA pushes to open new CRA plan for 7th Ave.
 
G7AIA invited to join the 441/State Road 7 Collaborative.
 
G7AIA suggests that 7th Ave. CRA link up with North Miami CRA and the 441 Collaborative.
 
Commissioners Jordon and Edmonsdson call sunshine meeting, RE: CRA. (441/State Road 7 Collaborative asked to give presentation.)
 
Commissioner Jordon sees need to expand CRA north from 135th Street to Cloverleaf.
 
City of North Miami CRA brings in Buxton Group to survey business needs. (G7AIA invited to participate.)
 
FPL installs large transmission poles on 7th Ave. (Creates a place for people to paste up bulletins and graffiti.)
 
Plans by DOT to make 7th Ave. one way 2 times a day. (Defeated and $15 million saved.)
